ABOUT BRANDEN

As an amateur, Branden participated in the Ernie Els and Fancourt Foundation, honing his skills to becoming a promising player. His tenacity payed off and he won the African Amateur Stroke Play Championship in 2006 before turning professional in 2007.

After stints on the Challenge Tour and Sunshine Tour he earned his European Tour privileges through the qualifying school in 2009.

In 2012, Branden broke through with back to back victories on the European Tour – the Joburg Open and the Volvo Golf Champions. Further victories followed in 2015 at the Alfred Dunhill Championship and the Commercial Bank Qatar Masters. His outstanding season culminated in an undefeated 5-0-0 record at the 2015 Presidents Cup. 2016 he claimed his first PGA Tour title at the RBC Heritage. Branden made history at the 2017 Open Championship with a third-round 8-under 62 as the lowest round ever recorded in a major championship. With a closing round even par he finished T6 at Royal Birkdale.
Branden joined LIV Golf team Stinger GC
