ABOUT SERGIO

Sergio began playing golf at the age of three, and was taught by his father, Victor García. He was a star junior player, winning his club championship at the age of twelve.

Sergio was the youngest player ever to qualify for the Ryder Cup, winning 4 out of 5 points in his first appearance.
Founded “The Sergio Garcia Foundation” in 2002. He has brought to Spain adapted golf for disabled kids and Sergio has won 10 European Tour events, 8 PGA Tour events, 2 Asian Tour events and 2 Nedbank Challenges (Sunshine Tour, South Africa).

38 total career victories including the 2008 The Players Championship and 2017 Masters.

Ryder Cup all time record points scorer with 28.5. Member of 10 Ryder Cup teams (’99, ’02, ’04, ’06, ’08, ’12, ’14, ’16, ’18, ’20) and holds the record for matches won with 25. Winner of the inaugural Nicklaus-Jacklin Award presented by AON recognizing players that embody sportsmanship, teamwork and performance at the Ryder Cup. Ranked in the top 10 in career prize money on the US Tour and European Tour. More than 180 top 10 finishes in 20+ years on Tour.
