Sergio began playing golf at the age of three and was taught by his father, Victor García. He was a star junior player, winning his club championship at the age of twelve. Sergio was the youngest player ever to qualify for the Ryder Cup, winning 4 out of 5 points in his first appearance. Sergio has an impressive career as an athlete competing and winning for more than two decades around the globe.

Founded The Sergio Garcia Foundation in 2002 and has brought to Spain adapted golf for disabled kids. Alongside with his wife Angela the couple is very engaged in their foundation work. The Sergio and Angela Garcia Foundation is supporting organizations that provide healthcare, wellness and family support services for children.

Sergio joined LIV Golf as team captain Fireballs GC.


Sergio Garcia has an impressive track record with 34 individual tournament wins including the 2017 Masters, the 2008 The Players Championship and his noteworthy victory at the Open de Cataluña as an amateur.

Ryder Cup all-time record points scorer with 28.5. Member of 10 Ryder Cup teams (’99, ’02, ’04, ’06, ’08, ’12, ’14, ’16, ’18, ’20) and holds the record for matches won with 25. Winner of the inaugural Nicklaus-Jacklin Award presented by AON recognizing players that embody sportsmanship, teamwork and performance at the Ryder Cup. Ranked in the top 10 in career prize money on the US Tour and European Tour. More than 180 top 10 finishes in 20+ years on Tour.
